Hello friends,

Today I found out that I have been selected to attend the January 4 - 6, 2007 training session in Nashville for The Climate Project (www.theclimateproject.org). I'll join approximately 200 other exceptional individuals who will receive this training led by Al Gore.

Gore will train me in delivering his slideshow -- from the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth". Trainees like me will learn to deliver the presentation in order to inform people of the reality of climate change, so that we can all work together to solve this issue before it gets even farther out of hand. In exchange for the training, I have agreed to deliver the presentation at least 10 times over the course of the year (with no compensation). If you have a group that would be interested in having this presentation delivered to you live, please be in touch with me -- I'll be traveling quite a bit over the course of the next year and would love to work it out so that I can be in your neighborhood.

So... I need to get to Nashville for a couple of days in January... it's during the winter break of my Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability program, so the timing is perfect.

Are you interested in investing in me - and the future of our world? I'm asking for pledges of $20 or more. My goal is $1200 to pay for airfare, room, board and expenses to attend this training in Nashville, TN. (Any extra funds raised will go to the scholarship fund for the Master's in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability program that I am in right now.) Thanks for considering!!

Happy Holidays!

Isn't this like getting compensation?

I do not understand how you can ask people to fund your trip which is voluntary. If you don't have the resources to go, why did you volunteer? Why should strangers have to pay your way?

Good luck!

They found the right guy for this. I'll happily support you in this endeavor.

I work with Tony on a daily basis and rarely have I met such a hard-working, reliable and passionate individual, with no trace of a chip on his shoulder.

I completely trust him to take full advantage of his training with Al Gore and spread the word in a very effective fashion for many years to come.

Always check your motives

"I do not understand how you can ask people to fund your trip..."

Imagine if everyone in history who had an idea that they could not fund had set that idea aside...

An old spiritual adviser of mine would constantly tell me "always check your motives." The motive here is to help, and Tony proposes to do that by giving up something more precious than money - his time. Really, it's all any of us have.

So if you want to pledge, pledge. I have. If it's not your cup of tea, I won't judge you.

Follow your Heart

I don't understand why you have to offer negative comments. If you feel this guy is legit and want to support him do it. If not don't say anything. It's not your place to get on him for asking for support. I understand what it's like to be in his shoes and will gladly give him $20 for his efforts. I hope that one day someone else might do the same for me.

one small thing you CAN do..

Al Gore knew what he was doing when he picked Tony...These presentations will have an enormous impact on those lucky enough to get it. Tony is contributing to a world wide project that seeks to educate enough individuals and communities so that we reach the tipping point... and can save ourselves in time. This is an infinitely valuable mission. It is an ethical imperative. Think sbout it this way... Why would you not contribute?

Why?

Posted by Anonymous User at 2007-01-12 17:03
Just a question !!

How old is the earth ?

3,5 Million years. or more ?

In say 300 000 years it doesn't matter. The earth will go on living as an organism, but man will beharps not but so what !
So what i'm i trying to say ?
Instead of trying to save the earth, try to live your life.
Get a child !!!!!
Because when you do that you'll know THAT'S THE MEANING OF LIFE !!!!
Earth will be here for 3 Million years on so ..............
